An example of this is:(4m-5)(3m+1)= 4m(3m)=12m^2 4m(1)= 4m-5(3m)=-15m-5(1)=-5Next you combine the terms to simplify: 12m^2+4m-15m-5=12m^2-11m-5

4m(1)= 4m
-5(3m)=-15m
-5(1)=-5
