Solving Quadratic Equations by Factoring

Here are the steps to solving quadratic equations
 #1 Write in standard form.
Standard form= ax^2+bx+c=0
a is not equal to 0
#2  Factor the polynomial
#3 Use the zero-factor property. Set each variable factor eqaul to 0
#4 Find the soultion or solutions- Solve each equation
#5 Check each solution in the original equation
