Study Problems from chapter 4

Here are some problems I am doing to study for the book
They cover all the concepts that we went over in class
I hope that they are helpful for you!
They are problems from the book but they are the most important ones for me to consentrate on and study.
The answers can be found in the back of the book.
You can reply on the blog as a comment to answer the questions
that way we are colabarating and helping each other to study and learn! :)

  8. I will start posting some replies to the problems to start it off.
    27. x+2y=5
    (0, ) ( ,0) (2, ) ( ,2)
    x+0=5
    x=5
    0+2y=5
    y=5/2
    I got to this step but am having problems solving the rest of it.
    I found (0, 5) (5/2 ,0)
    But I forgot how to find the rest of the points can someone please help?

  9. 35.3x-7y=9
    3x-0=9
    x=3
    0-7y=9
    y=9/-7
    3x-7y=9
    -7y=-3x+9
    y=3/7x-9/7
    The x int=3 the y int=-9/7 and the slope=3/7

    23. Picture is in the book
    For a body falling freely from rest(disregarding air resistance), the distance the body falls varies directly as the square of the time. If an object iis dropped from the top of a tower 576 ft high and hits the ground in 6 seconds how far did it fall in the first 4 sec?
